The Adelaide Motorsport Festival will introduce a ‘Ten of the Best Shootout’ to the event in 2025, pitting a selection of star cars in a race against the clock to determine the fastest.

The Shootout will take place at 5:30pm on Sunday March 9; an exciting finale to the 2025 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival. It will feature sportscars and hypercars (exclusively for tin-tops), completing one timed lap each with the car with the fastest time crowned the winner.
The Adelaide-built Brabham BT62 will be one of the cars to feature in the Shootout, with the other cars to be announced at a later date. The BT62 high-performance sportscar is powered by a mid-mounted 5.4-litre V8 engine, producing over 700 horsepower at 7200RPM. Only a handful of BT62s were made under the Brabham Automotive banner in Adelaide between 2018 and 2024, with the car breaking lap records across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
The 2025 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again feature various categories, ranging from Formula 1 cars, V8 Supercars, sportscars, touring cars, motorbikes and more with the action non-stop without a break in track activity at any stage of the day. Off track there will be car displays, kids' zones, bars and food trucks, exhibitors and traders, activations and more, in a picnic in the park setting.
