The Benetton B190 was featured at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival in 2024, and following lots of requests for that car to return again it will be back in 2025 alongside many other Formula 1 cars from different ages, including some that have never been seen here before.
Three-time Formula 1 world champion Nelson Piquet won back-to-back races in the Benetton B190 at the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix and Australian Grand Prix in Adelaide, finishing third in the drivers’ world championship with the team third in the constructors’ championship.
The Benetton B190 was designed by Rory Byrne in collaboration with John Barnard, powered by a Ford V8 engine that produces 650 horsepower at 13,000 RPM.
The Benetton B190 features the distinct ‘United Colours of Benetton’ livery, with a green base and red, blue and yellow sections.
Held the week prior to the Australian Grand Prix, the Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival is a museum in motion, displaying historic, rare and significant racing vehicles on the Victoria Park section of the Adelaide Street Circuit.
Categories featuring Formula 1, V8 Supercars, touring cars, sportscars and more will feature over the course of the 2025 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival, in addition to on-track demonstrations, off-track displays, villas and more.
