Run to the Hills

Rally fans can get their fix of fast cars and fabulous food at the Uraidla Audi-Solitaire Street Party on Saturday December 9, from 11:30am.

More than 200 cars participating in the Adelaide Rally will come through Uraidla twice during the day, between 11:30 and 3:30, providing plenty of opportunities to see these cars up close, talk to the drivers and experience the atmosphere of a tarmac rally event.

Uraidla is just 10 minutes up Greenhill Road from Burnside Village, but it seems like a different world. This quaint country town has undergone a resurgence of late, with three contemporary dining options making it something of a culinary hotspot in the Hills. Lunch options include the refurbished Uraidla Hotel, the acclaimed Lost in a Forest pizza and wine bar, and the Uraidla Republic, a cafe, bakery and craft brewery that opened just this month.

While you're in the neighbourhood, why not visit a cellar door? CRFT Wines, Tappanappa, Barratt Wines, Greenhill Wines and Ochota Barrels all have cellar doors within three kilometres of Uraidla, and all produce distinctive Hills wines.

The Uraidla street party is a free community event and all are welcome to this feast for the senses.
